Sleepy Hollow The Play
This Halloween season, Theater Noir and Dog Story Theater present Sleepy Hollow the Play—a chilling new twist on one of America’s oldest ghost stories. This original adaptation of Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was Dog Story Theater’s first original play, originally performed in 2008 and revived in 2019, now returning once again to haunt the stage. It’s also the only original play to be performed in each of the theater’s locations—a true Dog Story milestone.
Packed with eerie multimedia effects, haunting illusions, and a few unexpected laughs, Sleepy Hollow the Play plunges you into a tense and terrifying chapter for the villagers of a quiet Dutch settlement.
Something isn’t right in Sleepy Hollow. The mysterious new schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, raises eyebrows. Baltus Van Tassel’s old war companions are disappearing—some turning up dead.
